Gaby's Guide to Las Vegas, NV

Jump to Recipe

OMG this post has been a long time coming! I think we’ve been to Vegas for work or fun at least 2–3 times a year for the past 10+ years. That means I’ve had ample time to eat my way through the entire city, stay at plenty of hotels, scope out the best spas—you name it. I’ve got Vegas covered. It’s home to some truly incredible food, great hotel rooms, and so much to do. Let’s get right into it, shall we?

First up… FOOD!

Quick note: There is ZERO natural light in Vegas restaurants. So food photos? Pretty much impossible. But trust me—everything listed here is gorgeous, over-the-top, and so delicious. Plus, the service in Vegas is next level.

  • Zuma – Trendy, high-end Japanese with an izakaya-inspired menu, sushi, and robata. Think gold-plated sushi and bartenders carving ice to order. A whole vibe.
  • Secret Pizza – Late-night pizza after the club = mandatory. Especially if you’re staying at The Cosmo.
  • Estiatorio Milos – One of the best lunch deals on the Strip! A three-course Greek lunch for under $40 (wine not included). Refreshing and light—a nice break from all the heavy meals.
  • Jaleo – Spanish tapas and an open-fire paella station. You must order the Pan de Cristal con Tomate, Patatas Bravas, and Croquetas de Pollo. Trust.
  • Spago – One of my favorite bars in the city. Plus, I love a good Wolfgang Puck moment. The food is fantastic, but since I go to the LA location often, I usually save this for drinks when I’m in Vegas.
  • Nobu – Sushi, yellowtail sashimi, miso cod… get it all. TRUST ME.
  • Mizumi – More sushi, a super fun vibe, and perfect for sake and dinner with a group. Not cheap, but worth it.
  • SW Steakhouse – My go-to for steak in Vegas. The bread basket alone is worth the visit. Epic.
  • Costa Di Mare – Seafood dreams. Go if someone else is picking up the tab 😉. Spritz cocktails + vibes = like you’re in Italy.
  • China Poblano – Part Mexican, part Chinese, and every bite is amazing. More casual than most Vegas spots, so it’s great when you're in a time crunch.
  • CUT – Okay, one more steakhouse because I love CUT. We used to go to the LA one every year for Thomas’ birthday. The side dishes are almost better than the steak. Great cocktails, too.
  • Carbone – Hip Italian that makes all your pasta dreams come true. You’ll want to order everything.
  • Twist – I’m not usually a fan of tasting menus, but when your BFF insists… you go. And wow—it ended up being one of the most incredible meals I’ve ever had. Service was impeccable.

Next… Hotels + Spa Life

  • Waldorf Astoria – Formerly the Mandarin Oriental (RIP), and still one of the best hotels on the Strip. No casino = no smoke, huge rooms, a serene pool, and one of my all-time favorite spas. Heavenly.
  • ARIA – Not sure what they pump through the vents, but it smells like vanilla cotton candy and I’m here for it. Great location in CityCenter and stunning rooms.
  • Encore – The newer, fancier sister to Wynn. We love it because it’s near some of our favorite restaurants and bars. It’s our go-to for group trips—party vibes without being too much. Also, their spa? Incredible.
  • Nobu Hotel – We stayed here on our last trip and loved it. It’s a boutique hotel tucked inside Caesars Palace. Quiet, clean, chic, and low-key. Very on-brand.
  • Cosmopolitan – If you’re here to party, there’s nowhere better. The clubs, the restaurants, the bars, the glitz—it’s all here. If that’s your scene, Cosmo is your home base.
